This area is rich in nerve endings, making it one of the most sensitive and innervated parts of the body. As the warm liquid flows, it stimulates the central nervous system, promoting profound tranquility and deep relaxation. Ayurvedic Shirodhara

Each treatment is tailored to individual needs and often used alongside other Ayurvedic therapies and massages for holistic healing.

Types of Basti and Benefits:

– Anuvasana Basti: oil-based enema: nourishes, lubricates, and strengthens the colon (Vata imbalance).
– Niruha Basti: decoction-based enema: cleansing and detoxifying; removes accumulated toxins and balances doshas, especially Vata. These are used for conditions like constipation, IBS, arthritis, neurological disorders, and general detoxification.
– Kati Basti (lower back): relieves back pain, sciatica, and lumbar stiffness.
